Aspen Stuart-Cunningham
Welcome to my science communication website and portfolio
Throughout my life, I have read books, watched movies, and taken classes in all realms of science that have ignited my curiosity. I've felt a tingling in my bones when learning about the motion of the stars and the ways that animals experience consciousness. I love to share this unbridled joy and curiosity and the feeling that anything is possible through science.

I hope to spend my professional career trying to make a positive impact on the world and the people around me. Among the issues today that concern me the most are a lack of understanding for other people, the environmental and societal impacts of climate change, and waning trust in (and support for) science and experts. As public opinion, political pressures, and rapidly evolving technology increasingly impact our society, I find that I can do my part in addressing these issues through writing. In telling the stories of scientists, students, and advocates, I hope to share how science has immense potential to improve the lives of people and the future of our planet, but we have to trust in the scientific process for this to be possible. I write because I want to make science understandable, scientists relatable, and the process through which science progresses accessible and human.

As a communicator, I am passionate about discovering the world through science and developing creative media to inspire the general public with wonders of the natural world.
