Event Planning

In my current role, I developing internal and public events for the Data Science Institute, Center for Computational Molecular Biology, and Center for Technological Responsibility, Re-imagination, and Re-design.

I organize these events in collaboration with faculty and students to engage people across the university with our institute and centers, including seminar series, public lectures, research panels, program socials, faculty mixers, and training workshops.

Coordinating these event logistics entails booking venues and catering, organizing speaker travel and accommodations, managing guest registration, planning event schedules, managing speakers, writing remarks, addressing challenges as they arise during events, and acting as host.

Acterra: Action for a Healthy Planet, 2021

This virtual community panel was a part of a larger campaign I designed and ran with Acterra to promote electric vehicles among the Stanford community.

I put together a panel of electric vehicle drive and educators, marketed this event to the Stanford community, and hosted this event where the panel members spoke on benefits and logistics of going electric in the state of California and then answered questions.

2019-2023

As a member of the leadership team for my college a cappella group, Stanford Counterpoint, I worked with a team of four to six other people to plan and execute quarterly performances.

These shows included registering the event with the university, booking the venues, hiring sound and lighting engineering, renting sound equipment and setting it up, planning a program, decorating the venue, and hosting crowds of 100-200 people.

This video is a recording a song from one of our shows.
